About the fest

Philadelphia is home to dynamic Jewish musicians and a diverse Jewish community.
While individual organizations and synagogues might hire an artist for a one-off Shabbat service or weekend residency, there are few opportunities for the Jewish community to come together to appreciate and celebrate the broad range of genres and styles that are represented by Jewish performing artists.
Philly Jewish Music Festival fills that gap, providing a venue for the Philadelphia Jewish and non-Jewish community to come together to experience and celebrate the breadth and depth of music made by Jews.

Creating community through the universal language of music — where melody transcends prejudice and rhythm builds connection.
