Ken Ulansey's Whirled Music

Ken UIansey’s Whirled Music featuring Phyllis Chapell has been intertwining klezmer with jazz, latin, funk and the kitchen sink for decades. Recognizing tradition while remembering that klezmer has always opened itself to the musical worlds around it, their music fuses musical styles for a fresh sound that sounds both familiar and new.

Members of the band have played, recorded and toured with a universe of stars including (among a vast list) Grover Washington, Philip Glass, James Taylor, Dr John, Ron Carter, David “Fathead” Newman,  Johnny Hartman, and Susan Werner, and performed at major festivals and clubs throughout the world. The band includes Dave Posmontier, Paul Jost, Stan Slotter and Chico Huff.
