Schmidty is a Philadelphia born artist who lives first, then records. A proud Jew and third-generation descendant of Holocaust survivors and father of two (who he lives for), his music pours directly from his Jewish soul — carrying memory, identity, resilience, and hope. Blending hip-hop, melody, and storytelling, he uses music to teach, inspire, and pass heritage forward through rhyme.

He has released two full-length albums, Tradition (2023) and Kismet (December 2025), with Kismet generating strong buzz for its cultural pride and genre-bending sound. Schmidty performs at annual festivals, synagogues, JCCs, and community stages, has shared bills with international presence Kosha Dillz, filmed a music video in Israel, and performed live in Jerusalem at the famous shuk.

Schmidty continues to bridge Jewish and non-Jewish audiences through music that balances fun and seriousness, tradition and modern expression. He collaborates on an upcoming unreleased track with vocalist KJ McNeil, violinist Alexandra Cutler-Fetkewicz, Kosha Dillz, and longtime collaborator Rellik. Schmidty has begun incorporating live darbuka drumming and the ancient sound of the shofar into his performances. His growing following connects with the space he creates — where culture, conversation, and sound meet.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Rellik began rapping at the age of 12 and quickly became a fixture in the city’s underground hip-hop scene. A seasoned MC, he has written and recorded countless tracks alongside some of Philly’s most respected rappers, earning a reputation for lyrical skill and authenticity. His music, highlighted by his debut solo album First 48 (2018), has connected with listeners around the world. Driven by years of passion and persistence, he has refined his craft and collaborated with artists globally, a journey that continues to shape who he is today.

His voice and music have reached beyond the hip-hop scene, and he's appeared in a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Holiday Commercial and a promotional spot for Bravo’s Below Deck.

Beyond the mic, Rellik is a devoted father of two and continues to honor and support his Jewish heritage, sharing its culture and values through his family and his art.

Schmidty will be featuring Rellik's talents on stage at the Philly Jewish Music Festival, and together these two MC’s will move the crowd and have some good old fashioned fun!
